When she was 14, the lifestyle blogger and Golden State Warriors point guard first spoke.

She acknowledged that it was challenging to get tolerance because of her mixed ancestry in the same year her family immigrated to the U.S.

Ayesha Curry was born on 23 March 1989 to parents John and Carol Alexander in Ontario, Canada.

Her father is of African American and Polish ancestry, while her mother is of Jamaican-Chinese ancestry.

The four siblings of Curry are Chad, Maria, Janiece, and Jaz.

She met her future husband there when her family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, when she was 14.

Curry acknowledged that her initial years in the United States weren’t easy.

Curry Opens Up About Struggling To Fit In After Moving To North Carolina

Curry admitted during a prior appearance on The View talk show that she struggled to fit in because of her varied background and the expectation that she chose one way to identify.

“I was black growing up in Toronto. Curry declared, “I’m a black woman. I came to North Carolina at the beginning of my freshman year of high school, when I was just 14 years old, and there, the decision was like, who do you choose? I have always loved who I am. However, it said, “No, you’re going here.” Then, it appeared my community could not welcome and embrace me. That hurt in a bad way. I just want my society to appreciate all colors because we come in such a variety of shades,” she continued. Because it occurs in so many various hues, melanin is not one thing.
