Wayne Swinny Bio

In the late 1990s, Wayne Swinny created the band Saliva alongside vocalist Josey, guitarist Chris, bassist Novotny, and drummer Paul Crosby.

The band quickly gained recognition for its unique hard rock and hip-hop combination. Their self-titled debut album was released in 1997, followed by their major-label debut, “Every Six Seconds,” in March 2001.

“Every Six Seconds” was a major success, selling over 1 million copies and earning the band a nomination for hard rock performance in 2002, thanks partly to the lead song “Your Disease.”

Two songs from the album, “Click Click Boom” and “Superstar,” were also featured in the sooner installment of the Quick and the Mad movie series in 2001, propelling the band into the public eye.

Saliva’s third album, “Back Into Your System,” produced the number one Billboard Modern Rock Tracks hit “Always” before the band became a regular feature for the American wrestling promotional company WWE between 2007 and 2010, serving as the official soundtrack for some of the company’s main events.

Since 2005, Hollywood actor and former WWE superstar Batista has used Saliva’s “I Walk Alone” as his entrance song, and the band’s music has been used as the soundtrack for several PlayStation 3 commercials by Sony.
